my own cyberspace

I have had high speed internet access for months now. This offers me the chance of having my own web page for free. So I decided to set up a very bare bones basic personal web page. I don't know much about computers, so it it really basic right now. But if anyone has any advice or could help me, please let me know.

I am not sure exactly what one does with a personal web page. I guess I could put updates and pictures up there. I could put a resume of sorts there I guess. But if you have any grand ideas for me, let me know.
